This year Indian Premier League’s (IPL) auction took place on 18th February 2021, in Chennai. Every year IPL auction is held in order to sell or buy the players.

IPL first held on 18th April 2008. Now, there are 8 teams in IPL: Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Every year to make their team strong IPL auctions are conducted where teams can buy and sell their players.
